Stuff We Love Sundays – TwentyThreeTen

The  state of my daily arm party for the past couple months is what you see above. With that top bracelet (correction: Lacelet) being my fav.

I clicked on the Twentythreetenshop Instagram account (a few months back) after seeing them tagged in another image, and instantly knew I needed a Lacelet (bracelets made from baseball glove lacing!). AND, they happen to be a local (Cincinnati) small business, so I was happy pop over to their website and place an order.

One for myself and one for Mayhem, with the same quote: “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game”

We’ve had a LOT of new stuff thrown our way this year and I thought it might be good to have a visible reminder each day to never let fear hold us back.

A couple weeks later I had a note from Alexis and Hannah (sisters and creators of the Lacelet) to ask how we were enjoying ours. It started a friendly conversation which led to an invitation for Mayhem and myself to come out and see how they make them.

So we did!

Hannah and Alexis were all kinds of awesome! They took the time to show Mayhem all the colors of lacelets they offer and showed how the laces are lined up for customization.

Then they let her choose a few colors and line them up for herself. (That’s Alexis in the stripes and Hannah in the white.)

Chances for Mayhem to learn new skills and meet creative friends are opportunities we won’t pass up.

Then it was time to choose a quote for the new Lacelets….

Hmmmmm…..

Yep, we have the perfect “Mayhem original” ….

Somewhere during the process, I turned around and Mayhem had snagged a blue ring pop from my bag. Her mouth is blue in almost EVERY photograph I have from our field trip. But at least it matched her outfit.

Alexis and Hannah were SO incredible with Mayhem and we absolutely appreciate the opportunity to visit with them and get a behind the scenes look at Twenty Three Ten.

And while my daily arm party looks almost the same, I do have a new favorite up top…
