I nearly had a heart attack over the weekend when I turned around and saw Mayhem riding as you see above. Keith was driving and we were right around 60 miles per hour at the time.
I calmly screamed, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! WHY ARE YOU NOT BUCKLED IN?!?! PUT IT BACK ON RIGHT NOW!!! KEITH PULL OVER!!!”.
Mayhem chuckled and pulled her cardigan up to reveal that she was indeed buckled completely securely. But she had also figured out how to unbutton her sweater, pull it around the car seat harness, and button it back up.
This kid thinks she’s hilarious. My idea of humor does not involve heart palpitations. I have a feeling we’ll be disagreeing on this for many years to come…
