Because herein lies one of the challenges with raising confident young people today – negative messages/comments/worst dressed/who wore it better nonsense. Online, in our faces, ALL.THE.TIME.

I always said that our one dream, while we were in the paper dress phase, was to have someone slip us some inside details BEFORE a red carpet. You know, a sneak peek so that we could source materials ahead of time.

But most of all, I hope she knows that this is a record that should evolve with her. A record of who she is at any given time. And that that person can, and should be striving to learn and grow and change.

Because I can’t not.

I’m one of those “you make your own luck” kind of people, anyway. But I don’t turn down free luck either.
