Do you know what BVS is?
After a few eventful mornings, and a consultation with Dr. Google, I do.
According to me (and my new Google MD qualifications), Ginger has a case of BVS. Or bile vomiting syndrome.
And it’s as delightful as it sounds. You know, waking to the sound of your dog heaving on your bedroom floor. Just ask Sydney, since Ginger sleeps in her room now.
My search told me it had to do with her stomach being empty for too long. Even though we’ve had no recent changes to her diet or schedule. And recommended either feeding her dinner later, or adding a snack before bed. I’m opting for both.
So we’ve added a small amount of yogurt and banana before bed. Ginger isn’t the least bit upset about this new addition to the routine. And neither is Moxie, who refuses to be left out. Pretty sure this is the equivalent of ice cream before bed, in dog speak.
As for the rest of us, we’re super pleased to NOT be starting our days with cleaning the rug.
Pretty sure everyone in this household is happy with this new little snack time arrangement. Fingers crossed it continues to work.
