Last year, art therapy became my sanity saver. The dining room of our previous house was our art studio and it was my go to place when I needed to let my mind wander.
We packed up the art supplies, in preparation for the move, at the end of October of last year. And they sat in storage for months.
It was only today, that I was finally able to start unpacking and arranging the new art studio.
This was the last piece that I was working on, before the move. A work I finished just before this, quickly became my favorite. Keith’s also. Enough so, that he suggested I make one in a larger size, to hang above our fireplace.
That was the plan for this piece. And then we listed and sold our house.
Looking at it and knowing that it most definitely will not hang above the fireplace in our current house left me wondering what I should do. I had such a clear vision when I started it, but that vision is no longer exists.
I decided to follow the art. Get back to it. Let it flow and see where it takes me.
It’s good just to be creating again.
